The wine
Lessona is one of Alto Piedmont's most distinctive appellations, its sandy, acidic soils giving Nebbiolo of finesse and perfume.
Elegant and distinctive, with red fruit on the nose, floral notes and a hint of leather and tobacco on the finish. Beautifully balanced, with firm but well integrated tannins and a complex, persistent finish.
Made for roast meats, game and mature cheeses. Decant and serve at cool room temperature.

La Prevostura
View all La Prevostura winesLa Prevostura is a historic Alto Piedmont estate, acquired in 2019 by Luca De Marchi of Proprietà Sperino. It had belonged to the La Marmora family, whose vineyards in Lessona helped fund Italian unification in the 19th century.
Already running his family's nearby estate, Luca saw La Prevostura as a chance to explore more of Lessona's lauded sites. With winemaker Maurizio Forgia, the team crafts fragrant, distinctive wines from the denomination's varied soils and elevations.
The range showcases high acid, perfumed Nebbiolo, from the fresh, spicy Muntacc, blended with Vespolina, to the elegant, age worthy Lessona.
Fragrant, fresh and distinctive, La Prevostura's wines revive one of Piedmont's great historic terroirs. They combine finesse with real character. Nebbiolo lovers should take note.
