A crisp Sancerre with the characteristic mineral aromas of flint soils, leading to a lively, balanced palate with concentrated citrus fruit, a lovely sensation of freshness and great aromatic persistence. Silex is the flint that gives Sancerre its smoky edge.

The wines run from an easy Charme de Loire Sauvignon through the estate Sancerre La Villaudière and the flinty Silex, to rose and a Pinot Noir rouge. Reliable, characterful and fairly priced.
