Jean-Claude Boisset Nuits-Saint-Georges Tribourg 2023
£62.95
The wine
Tribourg is a single lieu-dit on the Vosne-Romanee side of Nuits-Saint-Georges, bottled separately rather than blended into a village cuvee. Straight Pinot Noir at 13%, sealed under natural cork.
Gregory Patriat has been the winemaker at Jean-Claude Boisset since leaving Domaine Leroy, where he was head viticulturist and assistant winemaker, and he has brought a vineyard-led approach that bottles lieux-dits on their own terms. Jancis Robinson MW, tasting the 2021s, wrote that she was knocked out by the balance and refinement of his wines here. The house was founded by the Boisset family in 1961 and works from Les Ursulines, a former convent in Nuits-Saint-Georges converted into a gravity-fed winery.
