Grosset Gaia Clare Valley 2022
£55.75
The wine
Gaia is Grosset's flagship Clare Valley red, Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc from high, organically farmed vineyards. Structured and elegant, it is built to age.
Blackcurrant, black cherry, cedar and violet meet a hint of herb and graphite. The palate is full-bodied yet fresh, with ripe cassis fruit, fine tannins and a long, savoury finish.
Superb with roast beef, lamb and mature cheese. Serve at cool room temperature, decanted.

View all Grosset winesGrosset is one of Australia's most revered wineries, founded by Jeffrey Grosset in the Clare Valley of South Australia. It is celebrated above all for Riesling, and its Polish Hill is regarded as one of the world's great examples. The estate sets the benchmark for Australian white wine.
The vineyards are farmed organically across the Clare Valley and the cooler Adelaide Hills, matching each site to the grape it suits. Slate and schist soils and cool nights give the wines their precision and drive. Grosset is a pioneer of quality and sustainability.
Beyond the iconic Polish Hill Riesling, the range takes in an elegant Adelaide Hills Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the Gaia Cabernet blend and the Nereus Shiraz. Each is pure, precise and age-worthy. They are Australian classics.
Grosset's wines combine intensity with elegance and a rare sense of place. They rank among Australia's very finest. A true benchmark estate.
