Framingham Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2025

The wine
An expressive nose of grapefruit, lemon and subtle wet stone notes.
From five vineyards across the Wairau Valley. Marlborough sits at the top of the South Island, where a huge swing between hot days and cold nights gives the wines their pungency and their acidity. Sauvignon Blanc arrived in Marlborough only in the 1970s and remade New Zealand wine within a generation, and the Wairau gravels are where the style was defined. Framingham are among the few in Marlborough to treat Riesling as their signature rather than an afterthought, working the Wairau Valley from a base at Renwick.
The producer
Framingham
View all Framingham winesFramingham is one of Marlborough's most characterful wineries, based in the Wairau Valley at the heart of New Zealand's most famous wine region. While Marlborough is defined by Sauvignon Blanc, Framingham has built its name above all on Riesling. It is a producer with a genuine artistic streak.
The estate tends some of the region's oldest vines, including Riesling planted in the 1980s, and farms with care and curiosity. Cool nights and long autumns give the aromatic whites their vivid fruit and racy acidity. Framingham's wines are precise, expressive and full of personality.
The range runs from zesty Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and off-dry Pinot Gris to a spectrum of Rieslings, alongside a fine Pinot Noir. At the top, the F-Series bottlings showcase old vines and small-batch craft. Each wine has real definition and drive.
Vibrant, aromatic and beautifully balanced, Framingham's wines capture the best of Marlborough. They are as food-friendly as they are distinctive. This is New Zealand white wine at its most compelling.
