The estate wine of Finca Villacreces is a structured Ribera del Duero, old-vine Tempranillo with a little Cabernet and Merlot. Aged in French oak, it is powerful yet refined.

Blackberry, black cherry and plum meet cedar, tobacco and spice. The palate is full and polished, with concentrated dark fruit, firm tannins and a long, savoury finish.

Superb with roast lamb, grilled beef and mature cheese. Serve at cool room temperature, decanted.

Finca Villacreces is one of the finest estates of Ribera del Duero, set on a bend of the Duero river in the heart of Spain's great red-wine region. Its vineyards lie within the famous golden mile, alongside legendary neighbours. The wines are among the most refined in the appellation.

Old-vine Tempranillo grows on stony, alluvial soils beside the river, sheltered by a protective pine forest. The harsh continental climate and low yields give deep, concentrated fruit. Farming is careful and increasingly organic.

The range runs from the acclaimed, great-value Pruno to the structured estate Ribera del Duero and the rare, old-vine flagship Nebro. Tempranillo leads throughout, aged in French oak for polish. Each is powerful yet elegant.
