Domaine Jubare Pouilly-Fuissé 2023
£36.95
The wine
Pale lemon. A vibrant nose of fresh citrus with hints of fennel and honey.
Pouilly-Fuissé is the finest white appellation of the Mâconnais, beneath the limestone escarpments of Solutré and Vergisson, and it gained its first premiers crus only in 2020 — the first new premiers crus created in Burgundy for decades, and recognition of sites growers had long treated as superior. Domaine Jubare work at Fuissé, making wines meant to express a sense of place rather than a house style.

Domaine Jubare
View all Domaine Jubare winesIn the sun-warmed hills of the Mâconnais, in southern Burgundy, Domaine Jubare crafts Chardonnay of purity and charm. This is a small, quality-focused estate working some of the region most characterful limestone slopes. The wines speak clearly of their origins.
The focus is on precise, unshowy winemaking. Careful farming and a gentle hand in the cellar allow the fruit and the mineral signature of the Mâconnais to shine. Nothing is forced, and the results are fresh and true.
From bright, approachable Mâcon to the greater depth of Pouilly-Fuissé, the range shows the quiet class of this corner of Burgundy. Each wine offers real substance and genuine value.
To pour a Jubare wine is to enjoy white Burgundy at its most honest. Mineral, refined, and food-friendly, these are bottles that reward the curious drinker.
