Domaine Fabien Coche Meursault Clos du Pré de Manche 2023

The wine
A single-parcel Meursault from the lieu-dit Clos du Pré de Manche, where old vines and deep limestone give real concentration. A step up in stature.
The wine is deep and finely cut. Layers of white peach, almond, and buttered toast unfold over a taut mineral core, with oak playing a supporting role. Everything is in balance, the finish saline and long.
A wine to reward patience and good company. Match with turbot, roast chicken with cream, or hard alpine cheeses. Serve lightly chilled.

Domaine Fabien Coche
View all Domaine Fabien Coche winesIn the heart of Meursault, where the Côte de Beaune folds into a patchwork of walled vineyards, the Coche name carries quiet authority. Fabien Coche tends a domaine passed through generations, farming parcels his family has known intimately for decades. His work begins in the vineyard, where low yields and patient attention set the tone for everything that follows.
The cellar approach is unhurried and precise. Grapes are pressed gently, fermented with native yeasts, and aged on their lees in oak, a portion of it new. Coche resists the temptation to overwork his wines, letting each parcel speak in its own accent. The result is Meursault of genuine depth, built for the table and for the years ahead.
There is range here too. Alongside the celebrated whites sit expressive reds, Pinot Noir of poise and perfume that reward the curious. Even the village Bourgogne carries the domaine signature of clarity, texture, and a finish that lingers.
To pour a Coche wine is to taste Meursault as its growers know it. Refined, generous, and unmistakably of its place.
