Domaine Chevalier Ladoix Blanc Bois de Mont 2024

The wine
Bois de Mont is a village-level lieu-dit in Ladoix, the least known appellation on the Côte d'Or. Ladoix shares the Corton hill with Aloxe-Corton and Pernand-Vergelesses, so parts of it are grand cru land under a different name, and village Ladoix is consistently the most affordable way to buy that geology. A small share of Pinot Blanc sits alongside the Chardonnay.
Domaine Chevalier was founded in 1850 and is now run by Claude Chevalier with his daughters Julie and Chloé, with Chloé making the wines. Their 15 hectares lie on south-east-facing chalky clay at the foot of the Corton hill.

Domaine Chevalier
View all Domaine Chevalier winesDomaine Chevalier Père et Fils is a family estate in Ladoix-Serrigny, at the northern edge of the Côte de Beaune around the great hill of Corton. Farmed sustainably, it works both red and white across Ladoix, Aloxe-Corton and the grand cru of Corton-Charlemagne. Its wines are a fine-value gateway to the Corton hill.
The domaine grows Chardonnay for its whites and Pinot Noir for its reds, on the limestone and marl soils that ring Corton. Careful farming keeps yields modest and fruit pure. Each appellation is vinified separately to capture its character.
In the cellar, classical winemaking and measured oak ageing produce wines of freshness and depth. The whites are taut and mineral, the reds fragrant and structured, all with real Corton-hill pedigree. Balance and terroir guide the range.
From a village Ladoix to the majestic Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, Domaine Chevalier offers the Corton hill at every level. Pure, ageworthy and keenly priced, these are wines for lovers of classic Burgundy.
