Gamay in Touraine is a long way from Beaujolais in both distance and style, made light and fresh for drinking young and often served cool. On flint and clay rather than granite it comes out softer and more overtly fruity. Domaine de La Brossette is a small organic estate in Touraine, planted with Sauvignon Blanc alongside Gamay and Cabernet Franc.
