The wine

A village red from Marsannay, the northern gateway to the Côte de Nuits and a source of fine-value red Burgundy. Pure Pinot Noir in David Moret's elegant style.

Aromas of red cherry, raspberry, violet and a touch of earth. The palate is fresh and medium-bodied, with fine tannins, bright red fruit and a savoury finish. Charming, classic Pinot.

A natural with roast poultry, duck or mushroom dishes. Serve at cool room temperature.

The producer

David Moret is a respected négociant-éleveur based in Beaune, at the heart of Burgundy's Côte d'Or. Since establishing his own house, he has built a reputation for immaculate white Burgundy from the great villages of the Côte de Beaune. His name is a mark of purity and precision.

Working with carefully sourced grapes from Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and beyond, Moret is above all a master of élevage, the art of ageing. The famed limestone soils of the Côte give his Chardonnays their cut and minerality. Only the finest parcels make the cut.

In the cellar, restraint and patience define the style. Wines are barrel-aged with a judicious touch of oak, always in service of freshness and terroir. The results are taut, mineral and beautifully balanced, from village wines to grand cru.

From an everyday Aligoté to the majestic Corton-Charlemagne, David Moret offers white Burgundy at its most refined. Precise, ageworthy and true to their origins, these are wines for lovers of the Côte d'Or.
