The wine
A crisp and refreshing pale pink rosé, showing floral notes, juicy nectarine and red berried fruit layered with a touch of gooseberry and a delicious hint of peppery spice. The estate takes its name from the watchtowers that once guarded the Via Domitia, a road medieval travellers crossed at their peril. Certified organic since 2020.

Château de Lastours
View all Château de Lastours winesChâteau de Lastours is a historic estate in Corbieres, named for the watchtowers that once guarded the Via Domitia, a road medieval travellers crossed at their peril. The estate covers 100 hectares of vineyard and ten of olive trees, on the clay and limestone of the Corbieres Maritime. Vines were first planted after the Revolution, but the real transformation came in 2004 when the Allard family took over and rebuilt both vineyard and cellar.
Their approach has been organic and plot-selective from the outset, and the estate gained organic certification in 2020. The wines have won a good deal of recognition and show Corbieres with more delicacy than the appellation is usually credited with.
