The wine

A smooth and fruity red wine with aromas of raspberry and blueberry layered with floral hints and delicate menthol notes. Fresh and juicy on the palate, with flavours of wild red fruits, blueberry and a touch of pepper. Grenache Noir on its own, from a cooperative founded in 2018 around sustainable growing.

Caves Fonjoya is a young operation, founded in 2018, taking its name from the Languedoc patois: font for fountain, joia for joy. It brings together a group of growers and winemakers working across a spread of Languedoc appellations, united by a commitment to sustainable practice. The Big Buzz range grew directly out of that, and is deliberately straightforward: a Grenache Blanc and a Grenache Noir, made to be drunk rather than contemplated.
