The wine

Verdicchio di Matelica is one of central Italy's finest whites, grown in a cool inland valley in the Marche. Terre di Valbona is Belisario's fresh, everyday expression.

Pale and lively, it offers green apple, citrus and white flowers over a saline, almondy freshness, finishing crisp, dry and long. Bright, mineral and endlessly food-friendly.

Lovely as an aperitif, and a natural with white fish, shellfish and lighter pasta. Serve well chilled.
