The wine
An elegant Viognier with hints of nectarine, ginger and honeysuckle. Precise, crisp and balanced on the palate, with a roundness of generously structured fruit and a long, elegant finish. The 1753 range takes its name from the year the chateau was built and the first vines planted.

View all Campuget winesCampuget was established in 1942 near Nimes, though the chateau itself dates to 1753 and the first vines were planted at the same time. That date gives the 1753 range its name.
The estate is run by Franck-Lin Dalle, the third generation of his family here, working with a wide spread of traditional Rhône varieties. Campuget gained Haute Valeur Environnementale certification in 2019.Costieres de Nimes sits at the southern end of the Rhône, close enough to the Camargue that the sea air reaches the vines. It has long been one of the better-value corners of the south.
