Campuget 1753 Syrah Sans Sulfites 2024
£13.45
The wine
Classic Syrah nose with a very intense fruit-driven character, this classy wine shows notes of liquorice and violet complemented by a hint of dark chocolate. Rich black fruits are enveloped by a smooth and velvety texture through to a lovely fresh finish. No added sulphur, and all the better for being served a little cool.

Campuget
View all Campuget winesCampuget was established in 1942 near Nimes, though the chateau itself dates to 1753 and the first vines were planted at the same time. That date gives the 1753 range its name.
The estate is run by Franck-Lin Dalle, the third generation of his family here, working with a wide spread of traditional Rhône varieties. Campuget gained Haute Valeur Environnementale certification in 2019.Costieres de Nimes sits at the southern end of the Rhône, close enough to the Camargue that the sea air reaches the vines. It has long been one of the better-value corners of the south.
