Bruno Rocca Barbaresco Currà 2021
£105.45
The wine
Ruby with garnet hues, showing redcurrant, raspberry, rose and geranium. The tannins give a silky mouthfeel and the finish is long.
Currà is a cru in Neive, one of the four communes of Barbaresco, giving a more perfumed and lifted wine than the structure of neighbouring Rabajà. Bruno Rocca farm 15 hectares on the prized Rabajà hill in Barbaresco, working with his daughter Luisa and son Francesco. Nebbiolo is thin-skinned and late-ripening, harvested well into October.

View all Bruno Rocca winesFrom the celebrated Rabajà hillside in the heart of Barbaresco, the Rocca family have spent decades perfecting the art of Nebbiolo. Theirs is a name spoken with reverence across Piedmont, a byword for wines of precision, perfume and quiet power.
Working some of the Langhe's most coveted crus, the estate marries traditional patience with a modern clarity of fruit. Long macerations, considered oak and an unwavering respect for site give wines that are at once structured and sensuous, built to reward the cellar yet impossible to resist young.
From a bright, everyday Barbera to the profound single-vineyard Riservas, every bottle carries the Rocca signature: aromas of rose and wild cherry, silken tannin and a finish that lingers long after the glass is empty.
