Philippe Bouzereau Meursault Les Grands Charrons 2023
£53.75
The wine
From the lieu-dit of Les Grands Charrons on the higher slopes above the village, where the cooler exposure gives Meursault a firmer line. Hazelnut and white orchard fruit over a lemony freshness, with the creamy weight the appellation demands and a clean, saline finish.

View all Philippe Bouzereau winesThe Bouzereau family has grown vines in Meursault for nine generations, back to the eighteenth century. The current Château de Citeaux was established by Philippe Bouzereau senior in the 1960s; his son Philippe took over in 2006, after studies in Beaune and vintages in Beaujolais, Australia and New Zealand, and has since been joined by his brother Charles.
Eighteen hectares are cultivated by lutte raisonnee. The range is a Meursault-lover's roll call, including the monopole Vieux Clos du Château de Citeaux and the great Premier Cru Genevrières.
