Jean-Claude Boisset Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Charbonnières 2022
£63.45
The wine
Exceptionally elegant, brimming with black cherry, raspberry and blackcurrant married to a subtle spiciness. Powerful yet elegant on the palate, with firm but fine tannins and a bright acidity.
Les Charbonnières lies in the southern half of Nuits-Saint-Georges, towards Premeaux, where the wines carry the commune characteristic firmness. Nuits has no grand cru, which has kept its prices below those of its neighbours despite the quality of the best climats. Gravity fed after sorting, with a cool pre-fermentation maceration.
