Jean-Claude Boisset Meursault Le Limozin 2023
£80.25
The wine
Bright golden, with intense citrus, white flowers and buttered toast. Very rounded on the palate, well balanced, with good minerality and a long fresh finish.
Meursault is the largest of the great white communes of the Côte de Beaune, nearly 400 hectares planted on gentle south-east facing slopes. Le Limozin lies on the Puligny side. The style here is broader and nuttier than its neighbours, and the gentle two-and-a-half-hour whole-bunch pressing is what keeps that richness from tipping into heaviness.
