Jean-Claude Boisset Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chenevottes 2022
£138.45
The wine
A stunning Chassagne, bursting with ripe apricot and lemon married to subtle hints of toasted brioche. Elegant on the palate, with a mouthwatering acidity driving the complex flavours onto a lingering mineral finish.
Les Chenevottes lies at the northern end of Chassagne-Montrachet, on the Puligny side, and gives one of the commune's more refined and less broad-shouldered wines. Pressed whole bunch over three hours, longer than the rest of the range, which extracts more texture from the skins without adding phenolic weight.
