Prosper Maufoux

Maison Prosper Maufoux was founded in 1860 by a notary who left his profession to create the eponymous wine house. It grew over the generations into a world-renowned name.

In 2010 the Piffaut family, whose Burgundian winegrowing roots go back more than two centuries, took over, acquiring the Château de Saint-Aubin and its exceptional vineyards; the château is now the house's home. The nine-hectare estate sits in the heart of Saint-Aubin, and the range climbs to Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet Premiers Crus.
