Liberty Fairtrade

The Liberty Fairtrade wines come from a farm in the Berg en Dal, in South Africa's Western Cape, committed to Fairtrade since 2003 and part owned by its employees since 2007. They offer honest, everyday drinking with a genuine social purpose. The project grew from a consortium led by Fairview's Charles Back, which rescued a failing co operative near Citrusdal in 2007. The Fairtrade premium continues to bring real, liberating improvement to the farmers who benefit from it. The fruit for the Chenin Blanc comes from the estate's own vineyards, giving a fresh, vibrant white full of apple and stone fruit, with crisp acidity.
