Corino Giovanni is a small, family-run estate in La Morra, at the heart of the Barolo zone in Piedmont. Run by Giuliano Corino, it farms some of the most prized crus of the Langhe hills. This is traditional Barolo with a modern sense of purity. Nebbiolo is the sole grape of Barolo, and Corino works with celebrated single vineyards such as Arborina and Giachini in La Morra. The famous calcareous marl soils give the wines their perfume, structure and remarkable longevity. Each cru is vinified separately to capture its character. In the cellar, careful winemaking and ageing in oak build structure while preserving Nebbiolo's haunting aromatics. The wines are powerful yet fragrant, with the tar, rose and red-fruit signature of great Barolo. Time only deepens their complexity.
