Château Preuillac lies in the northern Médoc at Lesparre, a Cru Bourgeois estate of some thirty hectares on gravel and clay. Substantial investment in vineyard and cellar over the past two decades has lifted the wines considerably.
The blend leans on Merlot, giving a rounder, more approachable style than the Cabernet-dominated properties further south, without losing the structure that makes Médoc claret worth cellaring.
