Champagne Taittinger

Taittinger is among the few great Champagne houses still owned and run by the family whose name is on the label. Based in Reims, it sits atop cellars carved from Roman chalk pits beneath the ruins of the thirteenth-century Saint-Nicaise abbey.

Chardonnay leads the house style, giving wines of finesse and elegance rather than power. Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs, made only in the finest years from Grand Cru Chardonnay of the Côte des Blancs, is one of the definitive prestige cuvees.
