Wounded on the battlefield during the Second World War, André Delorme left the front and returned home to Rully. In 1942 he founded the eponymous Maison du Vin de Bourgogne, still in the heart of the village today.
His Grands Vins gained recognition quickly, and his pioneering spirit led him to develop Burgundian sparkling wine at a time when few took it seriously. The house has grown steadily since, and its reputation for fine Crémant de Bourgogne with it.
